The 58th annual Ford Fireworks show will take place on Monday, June 27th alongside the Detroit River, and it brings promise to be more spectacular and roaring as the shows before it. Tony Micheals, president and CEO of The Parade Co., the non-profit that hosts the event, says so himself.
The show planned for this years fireworks galore will feature nearly 11,000 pyrotechnic effects, the highest recorded number in Detroit’s history. The spectacle is planned to run for a whopping 24 minutes.
Ford is offering the first 1,000 cars on Belle Isle a free Michigan recreation passport, good for admission to Belle Isle and all Michigan state parks for one year. There will be a 3,000 car limit on Belle Isle for the night as well. For those unable to watch the show in person, it will be aired on local news stations across Detroit. But for the mean time, enjoy the booming experience that the City of Detroit has to offer.
